Working with Headjam, we produced and installed Allambi Care's history wall at Al's Cafe in Charlestown. The supplied artwork brought together photographs, milestones and staff portraits, with yellow-edged collages and lettering arranged across a black wall. Our job was to turn those different elements into printed and cut graphics ready for installation.
We printed the original graphics on high-tack vinyl, finished them with a matte laminate and cut the individual elements. The separate collages, lettering and portraits left the black wall visible between them, carrying the display across the cafe above the tables.
We returned for a later stage that expanded the history collage and the ten-year tenure section, along with two portrait updates. The client prepared the relevant wall area, and we produced the new graphics with a mix of shape-cut and square-trimmed pieces. The two stages show how an existing history wall can be extended as more photographs and information are added.
