Our work in Charlestown
Past work at Charlestown Square
Over a number of years, Big Colour completed extensive work at Charlestown Square. That past work included large external signs, major internal banners, full signage fit-outs and substantial wayfinding signage.
These were different kinds of signage within a large retail setting: external branding, promotional displays and information to help people move through the centre. Charlestown Square was a major part of our earlier retail signage work.
Newcastle Orthodontics
Our Newcastle Orthodontics work includes the teal sign shown here, with raised white practice lettering and the line Smiles Transforming Lives. The photograph was taken in our workshop and shows the sign in a production setting.
The practice is in Charlestown. This example shows the sign itself clearly, including the contrast between its coloured background and the three-dimensional lettering.
Whitakers Jewellers
We have also completed recent work for Whitakers Jewellers in Charlestown. It adds another local retail business to our signage project history in the area.
Why Charlestown
Charlestown Square is one of the Hunter’s busiest retail centres, and our earlier work there covered large external signs, internal banners, full signage fit-outs and wayfinding. We have also signed local businesses nearby, including Newcastle Orthodontics and Whitakers Jewellers.

Tell us about your Charlestown project
For a shop, practice or larger premises, start with photographs of the areas that need signage and a list of the signs you need. Include any existing brand artwork and a target installation date. Our Gateshead team can then discuss design, production and installation around your project.
