What corflute actually is
Corflute is corrugated plastic, think of a sheet of cardboard, but made of polypropylene with hollow flutes running through the middle. That structure is what makes it light to handle, cheap to produce and tough enough to shrug off rain and sun for a season or two.
We print straight onto it on our flatbed printer in full colour, so you get sharp logos, photos and big readable text rather than a flat single colour. It's the same plastic you see on every real estate board and election sign around Newcastle, and there's a good reason it's the default for short-term outdoor signage: nothing else gives you that much visible sign for the money.
When corflute is the right call (and when it isn't)
Corflute is built for the short game. It holds up well outdoors for around 6–12 months, which makes it the sensible pick for anything with an end date: real estate lot and sale boards, open homes, election signs, event and directional signage, point-of-sale, and temporary site or hoarding notices.
If you need a sign that stays put for years, that's a job for ACM, a solid aluminium composite panel that costs more up front but lasts the distance. The honest version: don't pay for ACM to advertise a weekend open home, and don't put corflute on your shopfront expecting it to look good in three years. What is corflute and why is it used for signs?

Corflute or ACM, which should I choose?
Choose corflute for anything short-term (up to about a year): real estate, events, open homes, election and directional signs. Choose ACM (aluminium composite) for permanent outdoor signage that needs to last years. Corflute is far cheaper up front; ACM lasts the distance. Tell us how long the sign needs to last and we'll recommend the right one.
Can you add eyelets and cut corflute to a custom size?
Yes. We print corflute in full colour to any size you need and add eyelets on request, so the signs zip-tie or fix straight onto fences, frames, scaffold or stakes. We can match an existing layout and hold your artwork on file for fast reorders.
What is the difference between cut vinyl and printed vinyl?
Cut vinyl is a single colour, ideal for lettering and simple logos. Printed vinyl allows full-colour, complex designs and photographic images.
